Worcester, MA – February 19, 2008 – Metech International, a leader in the environmentally responsible recycling of electronic equipment, announces that is has entered into an agreement to purchase renewable energy for its Worcester, Massachusetts recycling facility. This purchase will replace 100% of the electricity previously procured through the standard agreement offered by the public utility. Renewable energy is obtained through a service contract with Secure Energy Solutions of Springfield, Massachusetts and supplied by Constellation NewEnergy. Under Constellation’s NewMix Premium – Load Following product, Green-e certified renewable energy certificates are sourced from solar and/or wind renewable resources located within the United States. The NewMix product is certified by the non-profit Center for Resource Solutions under their Green-e Program. For more information on Green-e Certification Standards www.green-e.org.
